What's going on everyone!
My name is Robbie and I'm the guy behind The Shepherd Vaults. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself, explain the concept behind the site, and share why I decided to build this little project in the first place.
For one, I absolutely love ripping packs just as much as the next hobbyist. Whether it's opening boxes, jumping into breaks, or hunting down singles, I've always enjoyed the hobby. Over time my collection started growing to a point where I had cards stacked everywhere and eventually I started thinking about selling some of them.
I considered the usual routes like eBay and Whatnot, but then I had the thought of turning it into something a little more.
That's where The Vault idea came from.
Honestly, it was just a name that sounded cool in my head. I started messing around with web development, building pages, and learning things as I went. Before long I had invested enough time into the project that I basically said, "Screw it, let's see what happens."
And here we are.
The Card Vault
Every card you see on this website comes directly from my own collection.
I've either pulled it from a pack, hit it in a break, traded for it, or purchased it from another collector. At the moment I don't run any sort of consignment service, so every card listed here is something that belongs to me personally.
My main goal isn't necessarily to become the biggest card seller out there. I enjoy creating content around the hobby and finding good homes for cards that deserve to be in someone's PC instead of sitting in a box on my shelf.
Most of my pricing is based around recent sales and market values from places like eBay and Whatnot, so things should stay pretty competitive. If you happen to come across a card that's priced a little higher than expected, it's probably because it's a card I don't mind holding onto. Some are partial PC cards, while others are cards I think have room to grow over time.
You'll find singles, team lots, and eventually player lots for MLB, NHL, and NFL. Everything is organized by sport, team, or player to make it easy to browse, and you can always use the search bar if you're looking for something specific.
The product pages will include everything you'd expect to see as a collector. Brand, year, card number, parallel type, photos, and other important details. I've done my best to make the experience feel clean and premium while still providing all the information you'd want before making a purchase.
The Merch Vault
This is where things start becoming a little more brand-oriented.
I've always liked the idea of creating products that are actually relevant to collectors and gamers, so I figured print-on-demand was a great way to make that happen. You'll find things like mousepads, posters, apparel, and other products inspired by sports cards, gaming, and the hobbies that helped create this project.
All of the products are made using high-resolution artwork and quality materials. Some designs may use AI-assisted artwork, but if that's the case it'll always be clearly noted in the product details.
Since everything is made to order, shipping times can be a little longer than buying something that's sitting in a warehouse. The upside is less waste, no unnecessary inventory, and the ability to keep introducing new ideas and designs as the brand grows.
The Vault Articles
I've always enjoyed writing, so it felt natural to include a section dedicated to articles and hobby content.
Here you'll find product reviews, pack rip recaps, hobby thoughts, collecting insights, and showcases of some of my favorite cards and hits. I also hope it becomes a place where collectors can share experiences, discuss products, and talk about the hobby in general.
You'll also see gaming-related articles mixed in from time to time. I'm currently working on game development and design projects of my own, so combining those interests under one roof just made sense.
The Gaming Vault
The Gaming Vault is still a work in progress, but it's a big part of where I want this project to go moving forward.
As it continues to grow, you'll find gaming clips, reviews, development updates, design discussions, and content related to Shepherd Studios. Whether it's a game I'm building, a project I'm experimenting with, or just sharing some fun gaming moments, this section will continue evolving alongside everything else.
Thanks For Stopping By
At the end of the day, The Shepherd Vaults is just a project built by a collector for other collectors.
Whether you're here to browse cards, add something to your PC, check out some merch, read an article, or just see what I've been working on, I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to visit.
